At 11:00 a.m. this morning, the Governor of the State of Maryland issued an Executive Order closing all non-essential businesses in the State of Maryland, commencing at 5:00 p.m. today. To aid businesses in understanding the scope of this order, the Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel has issued an Interpretive Guidance Memorandum further explaining the Executive Order.
Although we understand that businesses are being deluged on a daily basis with emails about COVID-19, we are sending our clients a link to the Interpretive Guidance Memorandum to provide critical information on the scope of the closure order.
