Technology & Intellectual Property Expert Joins Thomas & Libowitz

Baltimore-based Thomas and Libowitz, P.A., announced today that Vasilios Peros will join the firm and direct its Technology & Intellectual Property Group.

Mr. Peros brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in technology and intellectual property. He will advise clients on technology matters, such as licensing, tech transfer, privacy and distribution, and intellectual property matters, such as trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and patents. He also advises technology and other clients on corporate matters, including contracts, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and financing.

Prior to joining Thomas & Libowitz, Mr. Peros was an attorney at Venable LLP and at Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A., where he chaired that firm's Technology & Intellectual Property Practice Group. He is a member of both the Maryland and the District of Columbia Bar Associations. Prior to entering the private practice of law, Mr. Peros was an engineer and manager at a Fortune 100 company. His management experience included management of multi-disciplinary product teams, marketing and new business development, and subcontractor management. His engineering experience included design, development and manufacturing of high tech products, commercialization of new technology, and coordination with regulatory agencies.

He has a B.S. in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (summa cum laude), a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware, a M.B.A. from the University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business, and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law (magna cum laude).

Mr. Peros is also an Adjunct Professor at the Johns Hopkins University, teaching courses in "Intellectual Property Law" and "Legal Issues in Biotechnology".
